Skin pigmentation can arise from a multitude of factors, such as exposure to sunlight, hormonal fluctuations, inflammation due to conditions like acne or eczema, and specific genetic predispositions, which may lead to various pigmentation disorders like freckles or birthmarks. Clarity II can help address skin pigmentation concerns by targeting and breaking down excess melanin in the skin. This process helps to lighten dark spots, reduce uneven skin tone, and improve overall skin texture.
At Northcoast Laser Medspa, our goal is to help you feel more comfortable in your skin. We perform Clarity II treatments to address damaged tissue and remove blemishes from affected areas. In our endless quest for safe and effective skincare techniques, this innovative device has helped patients see dramatic improvements to their skin tone and texture. Drawing on clinically proven technology, Clarity II allows those suffering from aesthetic skin problems to achieve a smoother texture, even skin tone and healthier, more radiant skin.
Laser therapy works by targeting the melanin in pigmented lesions. When the laser light is absorbed by melanin, it generates heat, which breaks down the pigment into smaller particles. Over time, the body's natural healing processes remove these fragmented pigment particles, leading to a reduction in pigmentation and a more even skin tone.
Overall, laser therapy can be an effective option for addressing pigmentation issues caused by sun exposure, providing long-lasting results and helping to restore a more even and youthful complexion.

Pigment Correction laser facials have been praised for its ability to transform damaged or blemished skin into a smooth and even-toned complexion. At Northcoast Laser Medspa, we perform the Pigment Correction treatment with Clarity II to help patients correct various skin problems and conditions, including:
At Northcoast Laser Medspa, we will begin by evaluating your skin to determine the most suitable approach to treatment. Once your condition, concerns, and skin sensitivity have been identified, we will cleanse your skin and place goggles over your eyes to protect the area during treatment. We will then apply a transparent cooling gel to the target area before beginning work on your skin.
As the light energy penetrates the dermal layers, you may feel a slight burning sensation. However, the handpiece boasts a cold sapphire tip that not only helps to cool the skin and reduce pain, but also minimizes the chance of any damage to the skin’s surface. Depending on the extent of treatment required, the pigment correction procedure takes approximately 30 minutes.
Immediately after the procedure, you may experience some redness or swelling, though most symptoms disappear within 24 hours. You may also feel a tingling or slight burning sensation for up to six hours after treatment, which can be alleviated with an ice or cold pack applied at 10-minute intervals. Within the first few days of the healing period, you may experience flaking of the skin, though this is generally normal and no reason for concern. It is essential to avoid sun exposure to the treated area for at least two days following treatment, after which a broad spectrum sunblock must be applied.
At Northcoast Laser Medspa, we generally recommend a series of two to six treatments spaced four to six weeks apart. This will vary depending on the individual needs and skin type of each patient, so we will work with you to determine the frequency and amount of sessions required to achieve your desired results.
While you may see slight improvements after your initial treatment, the best results will accumulate after at least three sessions, as each pigment correction procedure will result in a gradual lightening of the target area. In addition to being a safe and minimally invasive treatment, many patients have reported remarkable and even life-changing results.
Compared to traditional methods, Clarity II offers a unique and relatively comfortable treatment experience with benefits for many patients, including:
The Clarity II innovative and adaptable design means that men and women of all ages and skin types can benefit from this procedure. At Northcoast Laser Medspa, we also complete a full assessment of your skin’s quality and current condition before treatment to ensure there are no issues or concerns that might interfere with the results. Clarity II is highly suitable for those seeking to correct facial redness or conditions such as rosacea or telangiectasia. This treatment is especially effective in removing spider veins and clearing the face of thread-like lines or patterns. Alternatively, if you have experienced sun damage in the form of pigmentation or sun spots, Pigment correction can free your face of these blemishes and help you restore a smoother texture and an even skin tone.
